Ceramic Orifice Plates and Chokes

Whether for reducing pressure, reducing flow, or for measuring flow rate in an abrasive slurry line, Keramos ceramic orifice plates and chokes provide a superior alternative to traditional steel or rubber orifice plates.  

Incorporating ultra-hard silicon carbide, Keramos SiCaz® ceramic orifice plates are available in typical configurations.

  • Square Edge Bore
  • Radiused Edge Bore
  • Off Centre (Eccentric) Bore
  • Segmental Bore

Keramos SiCaz® ceramic chokes are available in the configurations below.

  • Thin Plate - sharp    
  • Short tube - square    
  • Short tube - chamfered    
  • Nozzle - rounded

Keramos SiCaz®ceramic orifice plates and chokes generally outperform steel orifice plates by 20-50 times and rubber orifice plates by 6-10 times. Custom made or sized to your requirements, Keramos SiCaz® ceramic orifice plates are a great solution to abrasive wear in your unique application.
